Making eco-conscious choices can be safe and hygienic, as well as smart for our collective well-being.

The correlation between single-use disposable and sanitary might seem logical, but in fact single use it is not always the best option to keep us safe!

GENERAL KIT AND STAFFING:

We’ve expanded our Signature Sustainability Kits to include expendable options for eco-friendly masks, gloves, antiseptic alcohol wipes, hand sanitizer and UV light

Our Sustainability Coordinators are now all trained and certified by the World Health Organization in Covid-19 precautions and workplace best practices. 

HYDRATION:

We recommend more than ever that people bring a reusable water bottle that is uniquely theirs.
Research has shown that reverting to unmarked single use plastic bottles simply increases the chances of someone else touching your anonymous bottle in search of their own.

We will also continue to offer reusable hydration bottles with name tags from VAPUR. With their patented technology of separate drinking/refill parts we can ensure maximum safety. 

CATERING/CRAFT:

  • Mandate augmented served buffet plates from catering, no self serve.

  • Sustainable utensils sets dispersed individually by catering or designated Sustainability PA.

  • Compostable single use serve wear and cups deployed for all productions.

  • Craft Service will distribute food and beverages to individuals, no buffet table.

TRASH:

Sanitary waste practices will be more important than ever.
Good Planet has prided itself on creating clean and safe sets since 2011. Our Signature Resource Recovery stations that divert waste from landfills into recycling streams or compost will help mitigate the influx of disposables that may occur due to PPE and other behaviors sparked by health considerations and fears. We focus on education, adoption and inclusive practices to ensure the comfort and ease of everyone during these new times

PROPS AND SET PIECES:

We will continue our prized recycling system and partnerships with makers’ spaces and student programs.
We will ensure proper sanitation of any and all donations.
